Introduction:
Well, we make decisions regularly some are minor, some are major, and at the same time, some are quite easy to make, but there are few which can be quite difficult ones.

Here, I would like to talk about one such decision which was difficult for me to take, but it really proved to be very beneficial for me.

When you took? and What was the decision?
The fact is that when I was in grade 10th, my mother started to insist me to learn to cook food, considering the importance of this skill.

Why you too?
She said that that is one of the essential skills to have, and without it, I would not be able to manage on my own later on. I was not interested in cooking at all, and I really didn’t want to join my mother in learning to cook food.

The fact is that, in those days, I was already too occupied with my studies. During the day, I hardly had one hour in which I could enjoy leisure activities, but on my mother’s persistent request, I had to agree.

It was not easy for me at all because that was the only time I could have fun and enjoy myself in my own way, but now I was stuck in the kitchen with my mother doing the activity in which I was not interested at all, but I can say that slowly and steadily.

I started developing an interest in cooking food, and I felt I made the right decision to join my mother in the kitchen. I learned to cook finger-licking delicious food, and I often get appreciation from whosoever tries the food I cook.

How it helped you?
Now, I must say that whenever my parents are not at home, and I am home alone, I can easily cook food for myself, and I don’t have to rely on outside food.

Unfortunately, last month my mother fell seriously sick, and she was on bed rest for a week time, and during this time, I was preparing all three meals of the day for my family, and my mother was really proud on me for helping her out in this critical condition.

I can also say that I find this decision which I took very beneficial because now, I am planning to move abroad for my further studies and there I cannot survive without skill.

I cannot eat outside food all the time as it’s expensive and detrimental to my health, and I need to cook on my own. So, with this skill now, I can easily manage on my own.

Conclusion:
Overall, I can say that it was one decision that I took that was not easy for me to make, but it proved to be greatly beneficial for me.
