Introduction:
Well, numerous wars between different nations have shaped today’s world and when we read history books we get to know about what different factors led to war situations.

What the war was about? and How you learnt about it?
Here I would like to talk about a war of SARAGARI about which I not only learnt through my history book but also by watching a movie based on this historical event.

Who fought it? and What happened in this war?
This battle was actually fought between a Sikh regiment and afghans. This regiment of 21 Sikhs was deployed to protect the fort of Saragadi when out of no where 10,000 Afghans attacked the fort.

The regiment had no option other than either surrender or flee, but these 21 brave soldiers decided to fight against the Afghans and halt their progress as long as possible.

The Afghans were thinking they would capture the fort in like 10 minutes but the courage and the magnificent fighting skills of just 21 Soldiers made the battle last for hours and during this more than 1000 afghans were killed. This long halt at Saragadi completely ruined the plan of further movement of the enemy.

Though all the 21 soldiers died in this battle yet for their thumping display all were honored with the highest gallantry award by Queen of England. When you watch the movie you get to know, how each of these soldier contributed in this battle which gives you goose bumps.

Conclusion:
In fact, there is a war memorial in my country where enthusiasts can learn more about this war and I personally recommend everyone to must read about this war in more detail.

Model Answer 2:

Introduction:
The history of every country is full of many wars that directly and indirectly affect the lives of the general public. It takes a considerable amount of time to lead a normal life. Today I would like to talk about the war I read about in the book.

What the war was about? and Who fought it?
It was about Panipat’s third battle. The third Battle of Panipat took place on January 14, 1761, between the Maratha Empire and the Durrani Empire in Afghanistan. The Third Battle of Panipat was the victor y of Afghan leader Ahmad Shah Abdali. Maratha leaders Vishwarao and Sadasivrao were shot dead on the battlefield.

How you learnt about it?
I love action movies, especially those that are based on Indian history. I was free after the final exam of the graduation, so I collected some historical movies and books and started to watch and read them.

Panipat was one of them, but the movie did not describe everything, so I went to my college library and borrowed a book based on that war.

What happened in this war? AND Conclusion
The forces led by Ahmad Shah Durrani came out victorious after destroying several Maratha flanks. The extent of the losses on both sides is heavily disputed by historians, but it is believed that between 60,000-70,000 were killed in the fighting, while the numbers of injured and prisoners were uncountable.
