IELTS Speaking Part 2: IELTS Cue Card
Describe a friend you like to talk with.

Introduction and Who he/she is?
There’s a friend of mine that I really enjoy talking to. His name is Alex. He’s one of those people who just has a way with words and can make any conversation interesting.
What you like to talk about?
We like to talk about all sorts of things. Sometimes we discuss current events or share our thoughts on the latest movies or books we’ve read. Other times we just chat about our day-to-day lives and what’s been going on.
Why do you like to talk with him?
I really enjoy talking to Alex because he’s such a good listener. He always pays attention to what I have to say and offers thoughtful responses. Plus, he has a great sense of humour and can always make me laugh.
When I talk to Alex, I feel like I can really be myself. I don’t have to worry about being judged or misunderstood. It’s just a comfortable and enjoyable conversation.
Explain how you feel about him.
One of the things that I appreciate most about Alex is his ability to see things from different perspectives. He’s always open-minded and willing to consider new ideas. This makes our conversations even more interesting because we can explore different topics in depth.
Alex is also very supportive. Whenever I’m going through a tough time, he’s always there to listen and offer words of encouragement. It means a lot to have someone like that in my life.
In addition to being a great listener and supportive friend, Alex is also very knowledgeable. He has a wide range of interests and is always learning something new. This means that our conversations are never boring because there’s always something new to talk about.
Conclusion:
Overall, I feel really lucky to have a friend like Alex. He’s someone that I can always count on for a good chat and some laughs. It’s great to have someone like that in my life.
