Model Answers and follow up questions to Talk about a new public building or place, which you would like to visit IELTS cue card:

Model answer 1:

Which building/place is it and Where?
Since I belong to a developing nation, I see a myriad of ongoing infrastructural projects to enhance the Indian economy. The government is always on their toes to construct new recreational centers and public places in this fast-paced contemporary era to provide a quality experience to its citizens. However, I would like to talk about a public place, which got opened recently just around the corner of my house, is a water amusement park.

I have been seeing some construction going on for a couple of years, but they built it in no time. As I am a social butterfly, I love spending time with my kith and kin. I have gravitated towards this place because I have heard several positive reviews from my near and dear ones. Also, I read a newspaper review about this place last month that this is one of the best places to relax and rejuvenate. Actually, This place was idle for quite some time and was refurbished by the administration for the public interest in the course of time.

What it looks like?
I was thrilled to pieces when I came to know that something exquisite is coming up shortly for the general public. Since I am enthusiastic about water activities, this would be the ideal place for me to relish. It has all sorts of amusements, like thrill rides, wave pools, and much more, and that too at affordable rates. So it would not be hefty in my pocket as well. I believe summertime is the perfect time to pay a visit to this place, to chill out and enjoy a respite from the heat along with a thrilling experience.

and explain why you like this place? and Why do you want to visit it? and With whom would you like to visit?
However, I couldn’t go earlier as I was occupied with my hectic schedule and exam preparation. Therefore, I might plan to go to this place maybe next weekend or so, besides my friend has already agreed on this mind-blowing experience. I am sure, I am going to have a whale of a time along with my family and friends. Thus, I wanted to visit this place at the earliest. Moreover, what could be more worthwhile than unwinding from the stressful life and spending a gala time at a place like this, with your near and dear ones.

Model answer 2:

Which building/place is it and Where?
I’m going to tell you about a new skyscraper located at the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, which is called Landmark 81, and it’s currently the highest building in Southeast Asia, with 81 floors. I actually got to know this building when I moved to Ho Chi Minh City for my university life.

How you get there?
It is very accessible to get to the building since public transport is always available. I usually take a bus, which drops me off directly at the building.

What it looks like?
The bottom half of the tower is filled with shopping malls and advanced types of entertainment, and the top half is offices for lease. The offices are really high-priced due to the location and views, which make them very desirable. Not only is it one of the highest skyscrapers in the city, but it also possesses an eye-catching architectural design, which is likely to absorb any one’s attention. The original design of this tower is inspired by bamboo trees, which symbolizes the solidarity and strength of the Vietnamese people.

and explain why you like this place? and Why do you want to visit it? and With whom would you like to visit?
I have definitely fallen for the design of this tower since it absolutely stands out. Recently, it has become a famous landmark in the city. Moreover, meeting friends is just a piece of cake thanks to its exotic appearance. Especially, there are lively bars, restaurants on the 77th floor, which will give you a magnificent view as there are no walls, so you can enjoy the city in any direction. I would highly recommend anyone who visits this tower to go there and give it a try.

Talk about a new public building or place, which you would like to visit IELTS cue card

There are many public buildings or places, which I would like to visit.
Here, I would like to talk about the Statue of Unity in the Narmada district of Gujarat.
It is a colossal statue of Sardar Vallabhai Patel, who was the first Home Minister of Independent India.
His expression, posture and pose show the confidence and the iron-will of this great person.
I would really like to visit this architectural marvel.
This statue can withstand winds of 180 km/hour and can resist earthquake of 6.5 on the Richter scale.
I came to know about it from the news channels on TV.
