Topic : Migration
Type : Double Questions

Model Answer

It is an acceptable truth that cities are better than villages in many ways. Such as good education services, transport, job and many more things are readily available in urban areas, that is why nowadays many individuals tend to migrate to urban areas. In contrast. this trend increases the problems of both rural and urban areas. I think the government and private organizations can take essential steps to control the migration.

There are many consequences of the argument. The first problem is. The land will have deteriorated. Today’s young generation does give importance to agriculture because it has a lower-income and requires much hard work to cultivate the land, decreasing land productivity and food production. It will also affect the country’s economy.

The second problem is unemployment. Suppose more and more rural people shift to cities. Unemployment will increase because rural people do not have the proper technical knowledge to get a job in the industrial sector. Moreover, this trend will increase the population in cities that decrease the quality of life and affect the environment because more and more buildings will be constructed to provide accommodation to people by replacing the green areas and parks.

More practical solutions are required To overcome this problem. The first solution is education. If people get information and training new techniques, they can increase their production and earn more money. Another solution is, the government can motivate village people to open side business: for example, a co-operative dairy can be opened, which will increase their income. Moreover, the government should give subsidies to those investing in rural areas because, with the government’s help, industries can proliferate, which increases job opportunities in rural areas.

In conclusion, it will be very beneficial for the country and individual if people try alternative income sources rather than migrate to a city because migration can add to their problem instead of reducing.
