Sample Answer
The diagram illustrates the five-stage process involved in the production of carbonated drinks, from raw water treatment to packaging for supermarket distribution.
Overall, this is a man-made, linear process that begins with water purification and gas infusion, progresses through mixing and filtering, and concludes with bottling and delivery to retail outlets.
The process starts in the water cleaning stage, where raw water is filtered and treated with a water softener and chemicals. It is then pumped into an electric heater, followed by passage through a cooling pipe. At this point, carbon dioxide is added to the water to create the fizzy texture.
Next, in the mixing tank, colouring, syrup, and flavourings are added. This mixture is then filtered again to ensure quality before entering the packaging phase, where it is stored in bottles and cans. Finally, the finished drinks are packed into boxes and transported to supermarkets for sale.
