Câu trả lời mẫu

These days, mobile phones have become an essential part of our daily lives. It’s almost impossible to imagine a single day without using one. However, there are certain places where using a phone is either not allowed or considered inappropriate, such as religious places, hospitals, or cinemas. Here, I’d like to talk about an occasion when I was not allowed to use my mobile phone.

When it was?

This happened last month when my aunt came to visit us from the UK. She had come mainly for shopping because her daughter is getting married soon. Since she was visiting India after a long time, we decided to take her to a few famous places nearby.

Where it was?

One weekend, we planned a trip to the Golden Temple in Amritsar. As it was a weekend, the place was extremely crowded. We had to stand in a long queue for almost an hour before entering the main prayer hall. The atmosphere inside was very peaceful and spiritual.

Why you were not allowed to use your mobile phone?

Before entering the prayer hall, there were clear signboards requesting visitors to switch off their mobile phones as a mark of respect. Unfortunately, just as we entered, my phone suddenly started ringing loudly. I had completely forgotten to put it on silent mode. Everyone around me turned and stared, which made me realize how inappropriate it was. I quickly cut the call and switched off my phone to avoid disturbing others. After finishing our prayers and visiting the langar hall, I turned my phone back on and saw a few missed calls from my cousin. I later called her back and explained the situation.

And how you felt about it?

Honestly, I felt quite embarrassed at that moment because I had disturbed such a calm and sacred environment. However, it also served as a good reminder to be more mindful and respectful in such places. In a way, it made me more aware of my surroundings.

Conclusion

So, this was an occasion when I was not allowed to use my mobile phone. Although it was a bit embarrassing, it taught me the importance of respecting rules and being considerate in public places.

Câu hỏi theo sau (Phần 3)

What is the impact of cell phones?

I believe cell phones have both positive and negative impacts on our lives. On the positive side, they give us instant access to information and allow us to stay connected with our loved ones anytime and anywhere. However, on the negative side, they can cause stress because people feel the constant pressure to stay available and respond immediately. This can affect our mental well-being and personal relationships.

What are smartphones used the most for?

Nowadays, smartphones are mainly used for social networking applications like WhatsApp, Facebook, and Twitter. Apart from that, people use them for official purposes such as checking emails, attending online meetings, and managing work. They are also widely used for entertainment, including watching movies, playing games, and listening to music.

What is your opinion about selfies?

In my opinion, selfies are one of the biggest trends of our era. With the introduction of front-facing cameras, people are more confident about taking their own pictures. While selfies are a fun way to capture memories, sometimes people become overly obsessed with them, especially when they take risky photos just for social media attention.

How do young and old people use mobile phones differently?

Older people usually treat mobile phones like a portable landline. They mainly use them for calling and occasionally for texting. On the other hand, young people use smartphones like mini-computers. They rely on them for navigation, gaming, watching videos, online shopping, and chatting with friends.

What positive and negative impacts do mobile phones have on friendship?

On the positive side, mobile phones make it easier to maintain friendships because we can stay in touch regularly. However, they can also weaken relationships as people may rely more on texting than face-to-face conversations. Sometimes, misunderstandings occur because messages lack tone and facial expressions.

Is it a waste of time to take pictures with mobile phones?

No, I don’t think it is a waste of time. Taking pictures is a great way to preserve memories and special moments. It only becomes a problem when people take photos just to show off or seek validation rather than genuinely enjoying the moment.

Do you think it is necessary to have laws on the use of mobile phones?

Yes, I think certain regulations are necessary. For example, using mobile phones while driving should be strictly prohibited because it can lead to accidents. Similarly, there should be rules about phone usage in public places like hospitals or public transport to avoid disturbing others.
