Sample Answer
A smile has the power to brighten someone’s day and lighten even an awkward situation. In today’s fast-paced life, we often forget the importance of smiling. Here, I would like to talk about a situation when I saw many people smiling at the same time.
When it happened?
This happened about a month ago when I was travelling by bus to Chandigarh. It was a regular daytime journey and the bus was almost full.
Who you were with?
I was travelling with my cousin. There were around fifty passengers on the bus, including people of different age groups. Some were chatting with each other, a few were reading, children were playing games on their mobile phones, and some passengers were resting or sleeping.
What happened?
About half an hour into the journey, a man sitting in the middle of the bus started talking loudly on his phone. His voice was so loud that I could clearly hear him even though I was sitting near the front. Apparently, he was speaking to his wife. From the conversation, it became clear that he had forgotten their wedding anniversary. He was apologizing repeatedly and promising to buy her anything she wanted. The conversation went on for almost ten minutes before his wife finally accepted his apology. After the call ended, he let out a deep sigh of relief.
And explain why many people were smiling?
Since he was speaking so loudly, almost everyone on the bus had overheard the conversation. My cousin and I exchanged smiles, and when I turned around, I noticed that many other passengers were smiling too. It wasn’t because they were mocking him, but because the situation was relatable and slightly amusing. Even the man himself started smiling once the issue was resolved. It was a simple, light-hearted moment that connected strangers for a few minutes.
Conclusion
Even today, when I think about that journey, it brings a smile to my face. It reminded me that small, unexpected moments can spread happiness. I truly believe we should smile more often, as it can make someone’s day better.
Follow-up Questions (Part 3)
Why do people smile when they take photos?
People usually smile in photos because it makes them look more attractive and cheerful. Since photos capture memories, smiling helps preserve happy moments and makes the picture more meaningful.
Who smiles more, men or women?
In my opinion, smiling is not related to gender. Both men and women smile depending on their personality and mood. Some people are naturally more expressive, regardless of whether they are male or female.
Do you think people should control their moods?
Yes, I believe people should try to control their negative moods. Bad moods can affect not only the individual but also the people around them. Managing emotions helps maintain healthy relationships and a positive environment.
Do you think people who like to smile are more friendly?
From my experience, people who smile often seem more approachable and friendly. A warm smile can make others feel comfortable and welcomed, which naturally creates a positive impression.
Do people smile more when they are younger or older?
I don’t think smiling depends entirely on age. Young people may express their happiness more openly, while older people might be more reserved. However, people of all ages smile when they genuinely feel happy.
