Model Answer

It’s widely believed that grown-up children should be granted special responsibilities to make their own decisions at age sixteen. I believe that parents still have the authority to direct their children at that time so long as it is not too much intervening. I can outline two measures that may be done by parents in guiding their children.

First of all, the most important place is security. Kids have a tendency to do something based on what they enjoy but careless about its dangers. Likewise, kids are more curious than adults that they wish to try anything. For instance, in some developing nations like Indonesia, especially within a village, many teens ride a bike before they are 15 years old and don’t require a driving license. Commonly, they drive fast and don’t wear a helmet. This dilemma needs the parents’ attention. Therefore, parents must give advice and essential details about the suitable time for them to ride a car or truck.

Another measure is financial management. In certain areas, most teens rely on their parents for cash. It’s my firm belief that directing them on how to manage money from the young age will be valuable for their future. Besides, kids can make a better decision on which their money should be spent. As an example, parents must give a specific amount of money frequently. They have to commit that there will be no extra funding even though it’s hard up. Thus, children’s awareness will go up, and the probability of obtaining a part-time occupation is highly likely to occur.

Proper guidance from parents can construct a better future for the children. Teens often lack the expertise for carrying significant decisions, and the parents should always be friendly and supportive while guiding their kids.

In a nutshell, while young men and women are granted specific privileges at a certain age, parents still possess police for controlling them without too much intervening. Children always require advice for their future health.
