Sample Answer

The diagram illustrates the process of how cocoa beans are cultivated and processed to produce liquid chocolate. The production flow involves several sequential steps, combining both natural and industrial techniques to transform raw cocoa pods into consumable chocolate.

Overall, the entire process can be divided into three main stages: harvesting and fermenting cocoa beans, transportation to factories, and final industrial processes that result in the extraction of liquid chocolate. While the early steps rely on manual and natural methods, the latter stages require mechanical processing.

Initially, the cacao trees, cultivated in South America, Africa, and Indonesia, produce pods that become ripe and red when ready to harvest. These pods are split open to collect white cocoa beans, which are then fermented under leaves and left in the sun to dry. Once dried, the beans are stored in large sacks and transported to factories by train or truck.

At the factory stage, the beans are first roasted at 350°C. After roasting, they are crushed in a grinder where the outer shell is removed. The final step involves pressing the inner part of the cocoa bean to obtain liquid chocolate, completing the transformation process from raw agricultural product to edible form.
