The plans illustrate Southwest Airport now and show the redevelopment of an airport that will take place next year.
Overall, there will be drastic changes in the airport such as new gates, cafe, ATM and car hire and some new facilities will also offer for both departing and arriving passengers.
To begin with the present building structure, the Southwest airport is currently divided into three segments: departures, arrivals, and the north side. There are security, passport control, a cafe and a check-in counter in the left part of the airport. The right part consists of passport control and customs. Eight gates are connected with a walkway on the north side of the airport.
Furthermore, with the plan, ten more gates will be built to the northeast and northwest, and all gates will be connected with a sky train rather than a walkway. The cafe will be moved to the left bottom, and the check-in counter will be replaced by a bag drop room and relocated to the last safe place. A new cafe and an ATM are predicted to build east of the airport on the right side. Some space on the right side of the airport will be extended that will be used for car hire. There will be two departures and two arrivals gates doors in the airport. Security, passport control, and customs will be unchanged. However, the future floor plan shows shops immediately upon exiting the security section for departures.
