Where did you first see it?
I still remember when I was maybe 5 or 6 Years old, I went to see a circus with my parents, and that was the first time I saw this massive animal, with my naked eyes.
There were 5 or 6 animals in the ring, and they were playing the orchestra. So, it was quite an interesting thing to see for me. It may sound funny but when I was a child, I used to think that It’s an animal with two tails.
What did you know about it?
But later on, I realized that I was wrong, when I read about it in books in my school books. and I also learnt about this animal through some educational channels, Like Discovery and Animal planet.
I would say that this is the most powerful land animal and it is extremely intelligent with a sharp memory and acoustic sense.
I’m from India so definitely in India it is considered as a God, by the Hindu community and they worship it, There are many Temples, where this animal is worshipped.
Though it is not the national animal of my country, it is found in abundance especially, in the southern part of India, where it is used for logging in forests, as well as in agriculture. Interestingly last month I went to Jim Corbett park for my holidays. It’s a wildlife sanctuary, and there I got an opportunity, have a ride on this animal, Which is a very common thing among foreign tourists as well.
Conclusion:
Overall, it is a fantastic animal, and that’s the reason why it is my favourite as well.
