Question Overview

Topic : Education
Type : Discussion

Model Answer 1:

There is no doubt that some young pupils are encouraged to travel or work annually after completing high school. Some people assume that such a measure is so beneficial to pupils, while others oppose such ideas. From my point of view, I think this notion has both benefits and disadvantages.

An advantage of traveling or working just after high school and before attending university is the change to learning new things and gaining invaluable work experience. When young men and women opt to work instead of getting college right, they will get accustomed to the work environment and learn about several skills to build their future. In this manner, it may be assumed that they will be more than prepared for any future work, be it a college study or some other occupation. For example, my brother chose to function when he completed high school to learn new skills. Upon completion of high school, he readily found a suitable job and impressed the employers with his expertise while at the same time attending his college courses.

On the flip side, working or traveling rather than focusing on university instruction has some adverse effects. When young people prefer to travel only after finishing high school, they may experience cultural shocks. For example, one of my relatives chose to travel at a young age, and because of his immaturity and lack of understanding of the external world, he was utterly shocked by the customs and the method of life. He could not get familiar with that community and was wholly disappointed because he could not remain there. Consequently, his decision was against him because he did not receive any advantage from his traveling.

In conclusion, nobody can deny that working or traveling during high school has negative and positive impacts. High school students are highly recommended to know their skills and willingness before embarking on working or traveling, not to be shocked or otherwise.

Model Answer 2:

However, a small number of individuals assert that young teens should be allowed to work or travel for at least one year until they attend a university. Therefore, all of us must establish the negative and positive effects on young people who intend to go on a visit or start to work before beginning their tertiary education.

Undoubtedly, there are numerous benefits if young people were to function or travel across the world as soon as they finish school. First, working or traveling helps the students gain precious life experiences that are unavailable in textbooks. To illustrate, when young adults come out to work before attending college, they are now being offered a valuable chance to get into contact with others. They must develop interpersonal skills that play an indispensable part in their research and their potential jobs. Additionally, if they had been intended to go on a trip worldwide, they would, unquestionably, learn about the cultures and traditions of the natives, which might be somewhat or entirely distinct from theirs. It indirectly expands their horizons and may enable them to reduce a culture shock experience when they arrive at a new location in the not too distant future.

Nevertheless, a coin always has a different side. The statistic of recent research conducted in Columbia has shown that memorizing and interpreting a pupil’s abilities deteriorate as they grow old. In other words, it means that they are likely highly not to achieve their aspirations due to the continual weakening of the mental abilities of their brains. Anyway, they could have forgotten about the basis of particular subjects they have learned in secondary school. Again, it will most likely lead the pupils who start their tertiary education late to neglect to succeed in their academic performances.

In summary, although there are both benefits and harmful effects should they travel abroad or work when they finish school, I believe each individual may still strive hard and achieve their set goals irrespective of life experience and age. Our nation will continue to flourish and prosper in the decades to come if more educated.
