Model Answer

It is thought by some that making a big donation to the society can satisfactorily be carried out just by paying taxes, while others assert that other than paying taxes, there are a lot more responsibilities that ought to be fulfilled by people as members of a society. This informative article will elaborate the two of the perspectives in detail.

To start out with, paying taxes is certainly a useful and effective contribution to this society since it will give financial funds to the authority for the growth of a country. Considering that the public funding from the taxation is used in all crucial elements of a country, paying taxes is unquestionably a great contribution for a taxpayer. Primarily, it’s used to develop infrastructures, like building streets, hospitals, schools, and public facilities including public phones, transportations, libraries, amusement parks etc.. Furthermore, it is used to cover salaries of civil servants who work for the authorities and the society. What’s more, it can be used to offer public subsidies on schooling, medical treatment, and fuel prices. Obviously, it is right that from taxation, a government becomes necessary budgets that remarkably alleviate the progress of the nation. Yet, to make an exemplary contribution in a society, people are required to take other responsibilities and abide by the rules and laws.

Indonesia, by way of instance, as one of the largest countries consisting of 34 provinces and also have over 200 million people. Such countries direly need involvements of taxpayers in encouraging authorities initiated programmes, notably by mutual cooperation as a type of contribution. By doing this, people are able to directly and immediately work together to secure their surroundings like planting trees and cleaning up their surroundings, in addition to protecting the public facilities that are already offered. Being a law-abiding citizen signifies much than paying taxes.

To infer, I’m convinced that while paying taxes is a helpful approach to contribute to the society, other societal responsibilities have great importance as well.
