People have different views about homework methods which are used by schools to give homework to their students. Some people believe that school children should be given individual homework such as assignments, while others think to give homework to a group rather than individuals because working in a small group is better for them. Both methods have benefits and drawbacks which would discuss in the upcoming paragraphs.
It is an accepted fact that all subjects are not easy. There are some subjects which require some additional efforts as compare to others like science and math. So if a student does homework at home and gives some extra time to tough subjects, it will increase his/her grades. Moreover, teachers should assign homework to each student because it not only helps a child to revise the subject but develop individual learning and problem-solving skill in a child also. There are some disadvantages of homework also. Firstly, it can put an extra burden on a student’s mind, which can affect their health and relations with family. Secondly, children do not get time for games and family.
The first advantage is, it reduces the burden, to illustrate, if the teacher dived the class into small groups and assigned the homework, then it will be very beneficial for students because each student gets a small piece of work which he/she can efficiently perform without taking any stress. In addition to this, in that way children can spend time with their friends also. Secondly, this method will teach students, many qualities, such as leadership quality, adjustment and many more things. Each coin has two sides, so this method also has some disadvantages along with their advantages. Group homework is beneficial only for those students who live in one society or belong to the same area, but it is difficult for those who live away from each other.
