Model Answer 1

It is a well-known fact that many countries have a higher proportion of young people than older people. This trend has many benefit and drawbacks. This essay put light on some main advantages which significantly contribute to the rise in the economy of any nation and later analyses the significant disadvantages and compare both age groups.

There are many advantages to the young population. The young people play a significant role in the development of an economy because they are more creative smart and healthy than the elder one. The young people have new educational skill and has excellent knowledge about technology and can handle any tough situation. Still, on the other hand, grey-haired people use the old methods to solve the problem which fails sometimes. The young generation can learn things faster and share ideas globally. There are many fields where man force is required, such as construction sites, so, young people can work properly on these kinds of places rather than older people. The other disadvantage of older people is that the government have to spend money on them to provide health facilities and pensions after retirement, which put the burden on the economic level. Another disadvantage is that the old generation also contributes to increasing unemployment because they work for long years, and due to that, the young age does not get chance to proves their ability.

However, the contribution of the older people could not deny, and they have already done their part of reforming the country. Even though young people have the physical strength and creative mental ability to handle the situation, but they do not have any experience like older adults so, they get confused and lose their confidence in harsh conditions. Moreover, older people have vast knowledge about the history and the culture which young population do not have. New generation mostly follows the western culture to look stylish and smart, which boost up other countries economy because young people buy other countries products and pay them. Last but not least new generation work with enthusiasm, not with consciousness.

To conclude, I believe that the advantages of having an increased ratio of younger population outweigh the disadvantages even though there are some positive aspects of having an older population that we should consider.

Model Answer 2

The proportion of older people in some nations, such as Japan, is considerably more significant while in a few other areas, including some Asian and Western nations, young men and women comprise the highest percentage of their population. Having a more significant proportion of youth is considered to have more advantages for a country, and I think a nation needs to have a more educated and active young population for faster development.

First of all, the young generation is dynamic, lively and can contribute to the manufacturing and job industries of the nation and this has a substantial positive impact on the economic development of the nation. They come with new ideas and are liberated from old superstitions and traditional beliefs. This provides them with a competitive advantage for the faster progress of the nation. The educated young generation is the best source a nation can have, and their contribution to the country is significantly higher than the participation of children and older people. The kids are the future of a country, and the older people have already contributed.

On the contrary, the young generation is the active workforce and may direct the total growth of the country. They are the bringing in members while kids and senior individuals are dependent on them. Young creation can learn things faster and can share thoughts globally, and this is the reason they are better leaders. The ICT sector, for instance, is filled with new minds and this industry is considered the most prominent one for the development of a country, especially in this age, and young people globally lead this industry.

The participation of these older people, however, could not be refused and they have already done their role in reforming the nation. They have vast experience and historical knowledge that are vital for decision making. They are often considered a better match for the decision making positions and the tax they have paid their entire life created the advancement of the country possible.

To conclude, older people should not be thought of like a burden for the country; however, the young have more to add to the society and the nation as a whole. This is the reason why it is more beneficial for a country to have an energetic workforce than senior citizens that are prosperous.
