Model Answer

Lately, the number of men and women who buys various services and products online is growing more than ever before. This has undoubtedly affected the business of shopping centres to a beautiful extent. However, I consider this development as optimistic because of many reasons.

Firstly, e-shopping is usually considered to be more suitable for clients than in-store purchasing. Maybe this is because, nowadays, many people cannot find sufficient time to go shopping as they are too busy with professional or personal duties. For example, virtual shopping sites such as eBay and Amazon provide a wide range of products on the internet, which cater to individuals’ demands from their property’s comfort. Additionally, such shopping websites have considerably reduced significant inconveniences associated with shopping, like travelling to remote shops, parking vehicles in crowded cities and spending a significant quantity of time.

Furthermore, internet shopping allows people to pick from a wide array of merchandise, and the prices and characteristics of products are often contrasted. It has enabled customers to select the right products that suit their requirements. For instance, in India, namely Flipkart and Jabong, popular online stores have provided detailed information about their products on sale and customers’ opinions and reviews on their product expertise. Besides, set orders on these sites can be changed or cancelled by customers, and bought products may even be returned if they do not fulfil the assured quality.

Shopping is a social experience for particular people, and many enjoy shopping as amusement or entertainment. Nevertheless, popular shopping sites often compete with shops with lower costs and discount sales. This has also affected many individuals to purchase products online.

In conclusion, online shopping offers more significant benefits to customers when compared to in-store purchasing. Indeed, while it converts buying right into a hassle-free experience, shopping over the world wide web is increasingly convenient, too. Thus, I believe this is a positive trend, along with also the popularity of internet shopping is very likely to continue.
