Model Answer

English is the most widely-spoken language in the world. It has gained so much importance in numerous nations; it has become an international language. However, other languages like German, Spanish and French can also be taught in schools and colleges too in several countries. My view is that giving other foreign languages priority over universities’ English language is not a good idea.

Over the decade, many people from different cultures and countries have adopted the trend of going and study abroad. Many choose to start their livelihood there as well. Now, they need to understand and speak English well. It will help them communicate with other people, and they have a better opportunity for the expo to expand their fields. English is needed anywhere from academic success until better presentation skill, from better persuasion until important global meeting and convention. The knowledge of the second language is significant, but none of them excels in knowing English, which is why the schools must prioritise English more than other foreign languages.

Learning English as a second language has been essential nowadays, as, individuals around the world understands English. It makes it more comfortable for you to pay a visit to any country. All info on the World Wide Web is in English. If you understand English, you have got a better job or study opportunities as well. Learning other languages can only be valuable as a hobby or plan to visit that specific nation. Aside from that, I firmly agree that English is the requirement of life.

To conclude, it is known that learning English is more tolerable than any other foreign language. So a priority should be given in schools to teach English as a second language and other languages.
