I look at myself only when I am going out somewhere important such as parties or socially. Different places and times need different dresses. So mirror helps me set the right tone for the outing and make any adjustments with items that might be unfamiliar.

In glass quality, see if the glass used in the mirror has no inconsistencies in its makeup and does not distort (twist out of shape) /warp/bend a reflection. The glass should have a flat surface. Mirror silvering is the coating, usually silver nitrate and other chemical compounds, on one side of the glass. Quality mirrors have a high quality, thick coating of silver. Check all these things while buying a mirror.
