Sample Answer

There are very few things in my life that I truly cannot live without, but one item that I would really struggle without is my two-wheeler, which is a Honda Activa scooter. It has become an essential part of my daily routine.

What it is?

It is my Activa, which is my primary mode of transportation. I live in the suburbs of Phagwara, and most important places like my college and major markets are located in the main city.

What you do with it?

I use it almost every day to commute to college, buy groceries, run errands, and meet friends. Although there is a small grocery shop near my house, it offers limited options, so I often need to travel to the city. Before the pandemic, there was a regular bus service every half an hour, but now buses run only once every two hours and take much longer due to frequent stops.

How it helps you in your life?

My Activa saves me a lot of time and effort. On my scooter, it takes only about 15 minutes to reach the city, whereas by bus it can take around 40 minutes. Waiting for the bus, especially while returning home, is quite inconvenient because I have to stand at the bus stop. Having my own vehicle gives me independence, flexibility, and comfort. I don’t have to rely on anyone or adjust my schedule according to public transport timings.

And explain why you can’t live without it?

I realized how important it is when it broke down about a month ago. The service center didn’t have the required spare part, so it took a whole week to repair. During that time, I had to depend on friends for lifts or try travelling by bus. It felt awkward to ask for help repeatedly, and the bus journey was exhausting. That week made me truly appreciate my scooter. Without it, I feel restricted and less productive.

Conclusion

Overall, my Activa is not just a vehicle but a symbol of freedom and convenience for me. Until public transportation improves significantly, I honestly cannot imagine managing my daily life without it.

Follow-up Questions (Part 3)

Why are children attracted to new things such as electronics?

Why do some grown-ups hate to throw out old things?

Adults often have emotional attachments to old belongings because they are linked to memories or special moments. Throwing them away may feel like losing a part of their past.

Is the way people buy things affected? How?

Yes, buying habits have changed significantly. Many people now prefer online shopping for convenience. Additionally, people tend to replace items quickly instead of repairing them, as new versions are constantly advertised.

What influences people to buy new things?

Advertising, social media, and peer pressure strongly influence buying behavior. People often feel the need to upgrade to the latest version to stay trendy or relevant.

Why do children like toys?

Children like toys because they are fun and stimulate imagination. Toys also help develop creativity, problem-solving skills, and social interaction.

Do you think it is good for a child to always carry their favourite toy?

It can provide comfort and emotional security, especially in unfamiliar situations. However, children should also learn independence and not become overly dependent on one object.
