Sample Answer

India is a very diverse country with a wide variety of natural landscapes such as rivers, mountains, deserts, and lakes. One natural place that I would like to talk about is the River Ganga, which is also known as the Ganges.

Where this place is?

The River Ganga originates from the Himalayas in northern India and flows through several states before finally emptying into the Bay of Bengal. It passes through many important cities like Haridwar, Varanasi, and Kolkata. It is the longest river in India and one of the longest rivers in the world.

How you knew this place?

Like most children in India, I first learned about the Ganga from my parents. Later, in school, I studied about it in geography classes. It is not just a river but also considered sacred in Hindu culture and is worshipped as a Goddess. Because of its religious and cultural importance, almost every Indian is familiar with it from a very young age.

What it is like?

The River Ganga is a perennial river, which means it has water throughout the year. It has several tributaries such as the Yamuna, Ramganga, and Ghagra. The river has formed one of the most fertile flood plains in the world, often called the granary of India. The land along its banks produces abundant crops, and its water is widely used for agriculture. The river is also declared a national waterway and is navigable up to Haridwar. The surroundings of the river, especially near the mountains, are extremely scenic and peaceful.

And explain why you like to visit it?

I have visited the River Ganga both for pilgrimage and adventure. Last summer, I went river rafting there, and it was an incredibly thrilling experience. At the same time, visiting the river for religious purposes gives me a sense of peace and spiritual connection. I like this place because it offers both excitement and calmness. It also reminds me of India’s cultural heritage and natural beauty.

Conclusion

Overall, the River Ganga is not just a natural place but an important part of India’s identity. I truly enjoy visiting it and look forward to going there again in the future.

Follow-up Questions (Part 3)

What kind of people like to visit natural places?

Many different kinds of people enjoy visiting natural places. Some love adventure activities like hiking or rafting, while others simply want to relax in a peaceful environment. People who appreciate fresh air, scenic beauty, and quiet surroundings are usually drawn to nature.

What are the differences between a natural place and a city?

The biggest difference is that natural places are peaceful and less polluted, whereas cities are usually crowded and noisy. Air pollution is much lower in natural areas. Additionally, natural places have wildlife and greenery, which are mostly absent in urban areas.

Do you think that going to the park is the only way to get close to nature?

No, not at all. While parks are a convenient way to connect with nature, people can also visit forests, beaches, rivers, or mountains. Even maintaining a small garden at home can help someone feel closer to nature.

What can people gain from going to natural places?

Spending time in nature can reduce stress and improve mental health. It can also boost creativity and provide physical exercise. Being outdoors allows people to breathe fresh air and take a break from their busy routines.

Are there any wild animals in the city?

In most cities in my country, there are no large wild animals. However, we do see stray dogs, cats, squirrels, and various bird species in urban areas. Occasionally, monkeys may appear in some cities near forest regions.

Do you think it is a good idea to let animals stay in local parks for people to see?

I don’t think wild animals should be kept in parks just for display. It is important for them to live in their natural habitat. While parks are enjoyable for humans, they may not provide a suitable environment for wildlife. Protecting animals in their natural surroundings should be our priority.
