Model Answers and follow up questions to describe a time when you were kidnapped IELTS Cue Card:
Model Answer:
Introduction:
Well, crime is on the rise in society, and kidnapping has become one of the most common types of crime these days. I have experienced the trauma of being kidnapped, which I would like to share here.
When it was?
I vividly remember in childhood; I was addicted to chocolates and lollies. Despite my parents’ warnings, I used to take candies from anyone without thinking twice. Every time I do this, my parents scold me saying it can put me in deep trouble.
Where you were? and How you got kidnapped?
However, their warnings did not have any impact on me. One day, I was in the park playing with my friends and two guys wearing masks approached me and said they have big chocolate for me in their car. As my nature/ habit, I got into the car. Inside the car, they instantly blindfolded me and tied my arms and legs.
How was your experience?
After about 10 minutes of drive, I found myself in a dark room; I was extremely terrified and was crying loudly. I was cursing myself for not listening to my parents. But after about an hour somebody opened the door and turned on the light, and I was surprised to see it was my room and my parents were standing in front of me. They untied me and pacified me.
At this point, my father said it was just a prank to make me realize my mistake, but it can happen in real also. I hugged my parents and felt sorry right from the bottom of my heart. Their trick worked as I learned the lesson.
Conclusion:
Overall, it was a terrible experience of getting kidnapped.
