Describe a thing you cannot live without (not a mobile or computer).

You should say:

What it is?
How long have you had it for?
Why you cannot live without it?
Explain how you felt when you were without it?

Note: You will have to talk about the topic for one to two minutes. You have one minute to think about what you are going to say. You can make some notes to help you if you wish.

Introducation: and What it is?
Well, different people are obsessed by different things and often feel they cannot live without those and one such thing which is very important for me is my wristwatch.

How long have you had it for?
I received this watch from my grandfather when I was in Grade 10. I still remember it was my birthday and my grandpa took me to a shop from where he got me a very expensive branded wristwatch with a beautiful dial and a leather band.

Why you cannot live without it?
From that day it has become a part and parcel of my life. Unfortunately, he is no more so this watch is the only souvenir of my grandpa that I have.

I wear it all the time as I am a very punctual person and make sure that I do everything on time and this wristwatch helps me to do be on time.

This watch is pretty old but has basic features like I can set alarm on it which was quite unique in those days, so this watch helps me to get up in time to get ready for school.

Every morning I make a schedule of things to do so that I do not miss anything important and I regularly check time on my watch to do things promptly.

Explain how you felt when you were without it?
In fact, after school, I have to attend a couple of extra classes and because of this watch, I never get late.

Unfortunately, once It stopped working and I had to get it fixed which took a couple of days and at that time I realized how dependent I am on this thing.

Conclusion:
Overall, it is one that I possess and cannot live without.

Introduction:
Computers, mobile phones, clothes, air conditioners, kitchen appliances, etc. are essential to everyone’s lives. I don’t think we can imagine our life without these things. Today I would like to talk about an important item that is k important to me.

What it is? and How long have you had it for?
Food provides nutrients, Energy for activity, growth, and all physical functions such asbreathing, digestion of food, and 40, heat retention.

In this busy life, people don’t have much time to prepare meals at home. It also happened to me, so I had usually eaten some street food after office, which led to some health problems last year. So I bought a microwave.

Why you cannot live without it?
Now, it become a important part of my life. I got the object with a recipe book. There are a few easy recipes in it which can prepare in minutes.

I am using this system from last 5 months. I am doing a job in the non-public area and stay far away from my hometown in some other city. It helps me to prepare meals on time.

Explain how you felt when you were without it?
Before buying it, sometimes I think about how i lived/ managed my life. A few months ago, whenever I ate out, I spent a lot of money on food and then on medicine to cure the health problems caused by street food.

Conclusion:
Now I can say I am saving a lot of money because I eat healthy homemade food.

Introduction:

  • I think there are very few things in life which I cannot live without.

What it is?

  • But the one thing, which I would really miss is my two-wheeler, Activa.
  • It’s my main mode of conveyance.
  • I live in the suburbs of Phagwara and for most necessities, I have to travel to the city.
  • For example, there is a small grocery shop near my home, but it has limited variety.
  • Even my college is the city and its the only mode of travel for me now.
  • Before the pandemic, there was a regular bus service to the city.
  • But, due to the lockdowns and the hesitation to travel by public transportation, the bus service is far less regular.
  • In fact, earlier there used to be bus to the city every half an hour, but now there is one every two hours.
  • Moreover, buses make more stops nowadays, so travelling takes considerably longer as well.
  • On my two-wheeler it takes me 15 minutes, while it takes 40 minutes by bus.
  • And going to the city by bus is still fine but coming back is very challenging.
  • When going I can wait in the comfort of my home, but while coming back, I have to wait at the bus stop.
  • I would really feel handicapped without my two-wheeler.
  • I have faced this situation where I had to live without it and it was one of the worst days of this year.

How long have you had it for?

  • A month back two-wheeler broke down and the service centre was out of faulty part.
  • Due to this, it took a whole week for it get repaired.

Why you cannot live without it? and how you felt when you were without it?

  • I couldn’t do anything that week.
  • The first day, my friend gave me a lift on his car and another friend dropped me back home.
  • But I felt awkward asking them again.
  • I tried the bus for the first and last time after the lockdown on the second day.
  • It was such a horrible experience, I thought it was better to stay home all day long than to travel by bus.
  • It also brought about a new-found appreciation in me for those who travel by bus daily.

Conclusion:

  • I hope the government really does something about the buses soon, but till that time, no-one can part me from my Activa.
