Introduction:
Well, I’m a sport loving person as it is the biggest source of entertainment for me. I would like to take the opportunity to talk about an athlete who is my favourite and | follow him fanatically.

Who he/she is? and How do you know him/her? and Explain why he/she is famous?
The name of this sports star is Virat Kohli, and he is the captain of the Indian cricket team. I often read articles in newspapers and magazines about him.

What has he/she achieved?
He is such a talented sportsman that in no time, he became the best cricketer in the world. He is primarily a batsman, and he has hundreds of records on his name in all the formats of cricket.

In addition, he is extremely athletic, which makes him the best fielder. His body is so flexible, and his reflexes are extremely sharp that he never misses any catch. With his outstanding fielding, he saves 10-20 runs for his team in every match.

Because he is the captain of the team so with his performance, he always sets an example for other team members. To maintain his stamina and energy level on the field, he spends hours in the gym doing the workout.

I can never forget the incident when he got injured while batting, but rather than leaving the ground, he played till the end to help India win.

Conclusion:
In fact, I follow him on social media as well, where he often shares photographs with his wife Anushka, who is also very athletic working-out at gym. Virat is my role model, and I wish to be a famous athlete like him.

  • He won the Olympic gold medal eight times, Bolt is the only sprinter to win Olympic 100 m and 200 m titles at three consecutive Olympics (2008, 2012 and 2016). He also won two gold medals in the 4 x 100 relays. He gained worldwide fame for his double sprint victory in world record times at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

And explain why he/she is famous?

  • He has a brother and a sister. His parents ran the local grocery store in the rural area, and Bolt spent his time playing cricket and football in the street with his brother, later saying, “When I was young, I didn’t really think about anything other than sports.
  • The age of twelve, Bolt had become the school’s fastest runner over the 100 metres distance.
  • Bolt won his first annual high school championships medal in 2001; he took the silver medal in the 200 metres with a time of 22.04 seconds.

  • His achievements as a sprinter have earned him the media nickname “Lightning Bolt”, and his awards include the IAAF World Athlete of the Year, Track Et Field Athlete of the Year, BBC Overseas Sports Personality of the Year (three times) and Laureus World Sportsman of the Year (four times).

  • That’s how I came to know about him.

  • How he narrowly missed qualifying for the Olympics in 2016.
  • He could have scored a medal then as well.
  • However, the narrow miss strengthened his determination to perform well this time.
  • He said that he could have won a silver or a bronze medal the last time, but he might not have won the gold medal this time if he had won in 2016.
  • Both the national government and government of Haryana, his home state, awarded him financial awards for his amazing feat.
  • After listening to his interviews, I think that he has a great personality too.
  • I have started following him on Twitter and Instagram.
  • He actively posts about social issues.
  • I think famous people have a responsibility to talk about social issues because it creates awareness and brings a change in the general public.
  • I was very glad to know that he does that actively.
  • He’s a big philanthropist.
  • He has donated half of his financial awards to charities, although he himself belongs to a poor family.

Conclusion:

  • Learning about him has made me think that there might be thousands of people whose struggles and hard work die because they cannot win a medal.
  • I think the government must do more to make general people aware of them.

I think the two most important qualities for an athlete are discipline and self-confidence. One cannot achieve success overnight; it requires regular hard work and that means discipline and discipline is not just restricted to exercise but also to diet. Moreover, in all sports and gymnastics, mental toughness is as important as physical fitness, if not more.

3. Why are there so few top athletes?
Because the journey to become a top athlete is full of struggles and obstacles. In fact, many talented people let go in the middle because they are unable to keep up with the daily struggles and challenges.

4. What’s the best way to become a top athlete?
I think the first requirement to become a top athlete is to start early. Nearly all the athletes today are those who started when they were children. For example, Roger Federer started playing tennis at the age of three. Then, it’s all about willpower and dedication
