Question Overview

Topic : Developing countries
Type : Advantages and Disadvantages

Model Answer :

Globalization is such a commonly used term in the twenty-first century. It is a process of transformation of local phenomena into global ones. It means that the world has become integrated ( with various parts or aspects linked or coordinated.) economically, socially, politically and culturally through the advances of technology, transportation and communication. But it is undeniably true that this practice has many advantages and disadvantages. I would discuss some of the positive and negative aspects in the below paragraph and also discuss how it affects people’s life.

To begin with the benefits of globalization, first is it boost up not only the economic level but development and society also. This advancement allows the businessmen to cross the lines and invest in another nation and get profit from it. In addition to it, companies tend to become more productive and competitive, thereby raising the quality of goods and services. Moreover, it is suitable for both nation arid person because due to country development people get a plethora of opportunities in various fields such as job, study and vacations. Secondly, several companies from the developed nations are investing in underdeveloped countries, in that way not only the company but the country where they establish business also get massive profit in the form of jobs, taxes.

However, there are many advantages of globalization but have many disadvantages also. It increases competition between countries and people. Everyone is running a rat race. Due to globalization, people follow the same trend. Still, it put pressure on the individual’s pocket because when a person purchases a foreign company’s ‘product, he/she have to pay a big chunk of money which imbalance their budget. Furthermore, companies which invest in foreign companies also get huge lose, which affect its employees as the company put out many employees because management can not afford their wages.

In conclusion, after pondering over both sides, it is clear that globalisation can prove useful and as well as harmful for a country. Still, it is necessary to adopt wise/balanced approach to get benefit from it.
